Advanced UV Curing Technology Raised Spot UV is a state-of-the-art finishing process that utilizes Ultraviolet (UV) Curing to create immediate physical dimension. Unlike traditional coatings, we apply a high-build photopolymer to selected areas of your design. As the material passes through our high-intensity UV curing system, it undergoes an instant solidification process, transforming from a liquid state into a hard, crystalline 3D structure. This results in a brilliant, raised glossy finish that is both visually striking and incredibly durable.
Not Required: The card remains in its raw, sophisticated state without supplemental 3D polymer layers.
Clear UV: A crystal-clear layer of cured photopolymer is applied over your artwork. The instant UV solidification ensures the edges remain crisp and the “wet-look” gloss is locked in with maximum clarity.
Color UV: We integrate high-density pigments into the polymer before the curing stage. This creates a 3D sculptural effect where color and height are fused through UV-induced polymerization, resulting in a permanent, vibrant emblem.
Our UV Curing process allows for exceptional height and adhesion. To ensure the structural integrity of the cured polymer, we recommend a minimum stroke thickness of 0.5pt. Because the photopolymer undergoes a rapid physical transformation during solidification, please avoid placing UV elements on fold lines or bleed edges to prevent micro-cracking during the final precision cut.
