What Are Color Core Business Cards?
Color core business cards are built from multiple cardstock layers, with a visible colored middle layer along the card edge.
This creates a thick, structured card with a clean colored edge, ideal for brands that want something more distinctive than a standard printed business card.
Color Core uses a colored middle sheet inside a three-layer card; the edge color is part of the card structure, not color applied after trimming. If you need that second method, see our painted edge guide.
The outer paper sets the feel of the printed faces. Uncoated stock keeps a natural paper surface; cotton gives a softer paper feel; textured stock adds visible grain; a coated or laminated face feels smoother and more sealed.
The paper, thickness and finish combination is reviewed with your artwork before confirmation. Use the sample book to compare relevant paper and finish references before the final specification is confirmed.
